I could not reproduce this bug, even though I tried every version all the way down to 1:2.10-2. Here's what I get:
Yeah, something else is broken - I had the same problem with 5.1-2+b3/1:2.11-2 recently. Perhaps I can find out what went wrong... do you have any ideas? readline settings, some shell function interfering (wrong completion load order?), ...?? Next time that happens, I'll dump all functions and env vars, and compare to a working shell setup...
