Package: python3-websocket
Version: 0.57.0-1
Severity: minor
X-Debbugs-Cc: witold.bary...@gmail.com

Upstream is now at version 1.2.1

https://pypi.org/project/websocket-client/#history
https://github.com/websocket-client/websocket-client/compare/v0.57.0...v1.2.1

It contains number of bugfixes and enhancements, that would be nice to
have in Debian. There might be some breaking changes, that require
veryfying reverse dependencies in Debian archive first.

Reverse Depends:
  Depends: python3-docker (>= 0.32.0~)
  Depends: python3-streamlink
  Depends: python3-ripe-atlas-cousteau
  Depends: python3-zunclient
  Depends: python3-ibm-watson
  Depends: python3-socketio-client
  Depends: python3-kubernetes
  Depends: docker-compose (>= 0.32.0)
  Depends: python3-pyocd
  Depends: psychopy
  Depends: python3-praw
  Depends: obs-build
  Depends: python3-azure-cli

For my usage, the current python3-websocket 0.57.0 version, does not work
properly (SSL related issues), and I needed to manually install 1.2.1
using pip3. Would be nice to have this in Debian out of the box.

I also noticed that debian/watch file for the package, does not work
properly, as warned by linian:

In debian/watch no matching files for watch line

https://pypi.debian.net/websocket_client/websocket[-_]client-(.+)\.(?:zip|tgz|tbz|txz|(?:tar\.(?:gz|bz2|xz)))

However, from quick inspection of the server directory, it is unclear why
it does not match any file.

Also the new homepage appears to be
https://github.com/websocket-client/websocket-client,
but https://github.com/liris/websocket-client still works, as a redirect.

Thanks.
