Package: update-notifier Version: 0.41.3-1 Severity: important Hi, I can't get update-notifier to work with the default settings. The README tells me that i might be required to do modifications in my /etc/apt/apt.conf.d directory but it's not clear what i need to do.
I saw that gksu is required (even tho not in Depends) and I have it installed. I even rebooted (altho i'd rather restart the needed services, please document this), but i get the same results. Namely, starting update-notifier allocates room for it in my systray but no icon nor menu is shown. Just empty spaces.
