Well, just thinking -- I am not sure it is fixed upstream (only that it no longer happens in my hardware). If the result of being unable to detect the CPU yields a core dump, I don't think it should be marked as fixed-upstream. ...I am not removing your tag, though. I don't know how this was implemented, _maybe_ it is fixed upstream.
