Hmm perhaps. checkrestart is interesting to me; popbugs is too; I have a wishlist devscripts bug for a tool to do interesting client-side query that could popbugs, perhaps instead of rc-alert. I wondered whether this tool wouldn't be better in devscripts, since they do essentially the same thing, but may not be worth the hastle (and devscripts is getting somewhat bloated). Perhaps my tool could go into d-g instead.
