Package: rsyslog
Version: 8.2110.0-3
Followup-For: Bug #999889

Hello, Michael!

Please bring /etc/init.d/rsyslog back. I don’t understand it.

On debian-devel you wrote that you want to change the priority of rsyslog
from important to optional because systemd systems have the journald.

You even informed the sysvinit maintainers because sysvinit needs
a classic syslog daemon, and then you delete the sysvinit script?

Why does this have the taste that you aren’t interested in rsyslog
anymore and want to drive people away from it?

Many greetings,

        Stephan
