Hello, Please cherry-pick the upstream fix in fontconfig to drop the bitstream vera font.
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/fontconfig/fontconfig/-/merge_requests/99 The bitstream vera font is very obsolete, looks worse than dejavu and sometimes as a negative side effect it takes over as a default font when installed. Best, Amr
