i went ahead and uploaded growlight 1.2.38 to experimental last evening. it doesn't build now, of course, due to a dep on missing libnotcurses3. i've asked my Application Manager (i'm currently applying for DD status) to sponsor an upload of the latter to experimental+NEW, so that i can begin the transition. at the end of this process, i expect us to have a 1.2.38 uploaded to unstable which will remedy this annoyance.
also, just for the record, let me point out that the autopkgtest regression is due in part to the way it's being run in the autopkgtest environment--this is usually an interactive program. i fully agree that it's important to get it resolved, but it's not something that ought affect the majority of users. in any case, things will be in much better shape when 1.2.38 hits unstable.
