"Guvcview doesn't depend upon uvcdynctrl it just recommends it." Okay, but unless you disable "recommends", uvcdynctrl gets installed. Based on a little bit of research I performed, it is not recommended to disable "recommends" because recommended packages are usually needed for a more useful installation.
