I am assuming that this is also acceptable, but if it is not, please let
me know.

The choice of 1.51 was requested by Adrian Bunk, as rustc 1.51 is the
(minimum?) version required by FireFox and ThunderBird 91.

Wouldn't it be wiser to use Rustc 1.57.0?

I ask because Rust 1.57.0 is upstream a stable version and will become
the default compiler version in the Linux Kernel for the next couple of
months.
