There's a new upstream version, 2.2, which addresses those security CVEs and fixes some other problems, and upstreams a bunch of Debian mods, and has some other improvements and such. I've taken the liberty of packaging it, and doing some general packaging script updating. See https://salsa.debian.org/debian/usbview branch debian-bap, a repo I took the liberty of creating and populating with the package's history. Please feel free to snarf whatever changes I've made you like, or tell me to sod off, or whatever. Or, I'm happy to co-maintain, or do an NMU, if you'd like. Just let me know. Cheers, --Barak.
