Package: x2vnc Version: 1.7.2-6+b1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I have been using x2vnc on occasion to control one nearby computer from another for many years, and have today been trying it out on bullseye for the first time. I find that the movement of the pointer in the remote screen is erratic - differing depending on the chosen direction. For example, when used "west" - my typical setup - the pointer comes back to the local screen a little over half way across. When used "east", the right third or so of the screen is unreachable. I appear to be unable to go "north" off my screen when trying it that way (though on another computer this resulted in y-axis movement only on the remote screen), similarly I cannot go "south", but only limited x-axis movement was available on the other system. In all cases this is connecting to a tigervnc-xorg-extension. It is hard to know in which package the bug lies, so feel free to reassign the bug if necessary. In the past I have had smooth access to the whole screen, with the transition back to the local not happening until the edge, and I expected the same again. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-11-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages x2vnc depends on: ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u2 ii libice6 2:1.0.10-1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.3-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.7.2-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.3-1.1 ii libxinerama1 2:1.1.4-2 ii libxss1 1:1.2.3-1 x2vnc recommends no packages.
