Hi,
got the same issue with backport on debian10  1.13.1-1~bpo10+1

We made a fleet of cache servers running Unbound behind a L4 load-balancer.
We got crashes on 3 of the machines all with the same diagnosis.

Here is what we got in dmesg

[2000699.556805] unbound[2823]: segfault at 108 ip 00005584e0d84c2b sp 00007f80ad7f9c80 error 4 in unbound[5584e0cc5000+d3000] [2000699.556818] Code: 00 00 00 48 8b 88 78 01 00 00 31 c0 e8 fe 36 f9 ff eb b0 e8 b7 0f f4 ff 0f 1f 80 00 00 00 00 41 56 41 55 41 54 55 53 48 89 fb <48> 8b 3f 48 85 ff 74 35 4d 89 c6 41 89 cd 48 89 d5 49 89 f4 e8 cc [2046588.178787] unbound[14134]: segfault at 108 ip 000055f01390bc2b sp 00007fde77ffec80 error 4 in unbound[55f01384c000+d3000] [2046588.178800] Code: 00 00 00 48 8b 88 78 01 00 00 31 c0 e8 fe 36 f9 ff eb b0 e8 b7 0f f4 ff 0f 1f 80 00 00 00 00 41 56 41 55 41 54 55 53 48 89 fb <48> 8b 3f 48 85 ff 74 35 4d 89 c6 41 89 cd 48 89 d5 49 89 f4 e8 cc [2224158.880592] unbound[2271]: segfault at 108 ip 000055e995650c2b sp 00007fb46a7fbc80 error 4 in unbound[55e995591000+d3000] [2224158.880606] Code: 00 00 00 48 8b 88 78 01 00 00 31 c0 e8 fe 36 f9 ff eb b0 e8 b7 0f f4 ff 0f 1f 80 00 00 00 00 41 56 41 55 41 54 55 53 48 89 fb <48> 8b 3f 48 85 ff 74 35 4d 89 c6 41 89 cd 48 89 d5 49 89 f4 e8 cc

"Interestingly" it does not happen all the time, as you can see we had a burst during last week-end, but right now all is calm.

We just restart the service when crash happens for the moment.
