I do not envisage any problem in doing this, although it is somewhat
strange for mcopy to use SOURCE_TIME_EPOCH in a timezone-dependent
manner.

More generally, I can't think of a scenario where the value of
SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH request a timezone implication, so if mcopy supports
this particular use-case (and, indeed, supports it as the default
one), I might boldly suggest that this is a bug in mcopy. Just my
£0.02. :)
