Hi Jeff,

I am aware that Debian provides filezilla and libfilezilla as I am the Debian
maintainer of both.

However, Ubuntu as a derivative consumes the packages from Debian and at that
point become its
primary custodian and should be dealing with any issues. While I would love to
take on-board and
help with all derivatives, I do not have the time.

Your attempts to build from upstream are between you and the upstream project.
I do not have the
time to help or generally get involved on a package version not distributed
with Debian.

The best course of action would be for you to run Debian 11 (stable) and then
you would be
supported by myself and others who are part of the Debian project.

Regards

Phil
