PDAL upstream has exhausted my tolerance of his combative attitude. I am no longer willing to spend time on maintaining this package. The package should be removed from Debian, as others should not be subjected to his attitude either. At time of writing cloudcompare and facet-analyser have pdal as a build dependency, and paraview also has it in its binary package dependencies. These packages will need to remove their pdal support. Once that's done pdal can be removed from Debian. If anyone wants to take over maintenance of the pdal package despite a combative upstream, that will need to happen outside the GIS team.
