Currently, mxv fails to build on Sid because ivtools-dev is uninstallalable: The following packages have unmet dependencies: ivtools-dev: Depends: xlibs-dev but it is not installable The ivtools maintainer is looking for someone to take over the package since 2002, see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=164800 where one failed attempt is documented.
