Package: torbrowser-launcher Version: 0.3.5-2 Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-Cc: r...@linux-m68k.org
Dear Maintainer, I am running a multiarch system and tried to install torbrowser-launcher:amd64 instead of the x86 version, in the belief that this would download the 64bit version This did not work, apt-get is complaining about The following packages have unmet dependencies: torbrowser-launcher:amd64 : Depends: python3-gpg:amd64 but it is not going to be installed Depends: python3-packaging:amd64 but it is not installable Depends: python3-pyqt5:amd64 but it is not going to be installed Depends: python3-requests:amd64 Depends: python3-socks:amd64 but it is not installable Recommends: tor:amd64 but it is not going to be installed I believe all those dependencies do not depend on the exact architecture so could have ":any" : Also I think there should be "Multi-Arch: allowed". However, looking at the python code it would download whatever is platform.architecture() anyway.. in my case almost certainly i386 binary. So maybe the whole package should be marked as architecture independent as it makes no sense to have 32 and 64 bit versions of a script that will do the same? -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.3 APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable'), (100, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: amd64 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher depends on: ii ca-certificates 20210119 ii gnupg 2.2.27-2+deb11u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.110-6 ii python3 3.9.2-3 ii python3-gpg 1.14.0-1+b2 ii python3-packaging 20.9-2 ii python3-pyqt5 5.15.2+dfsg-3 ii python3-requests 2.25.1+dfsg-2 ii python3-socks 1.7.1+dfsg-1 Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher recommends: ii tor 0.4.5.10-1~deb11u1 Versions of packages torbrowser-launcher suggests: ii apparmor 2.13.6-10
