I installed 8.17.1-1 from http://snapshot.debian.org/ With this version and no configuration change, smtp auth works as ever. Thanks! What was the reason for uploading it to exprimental instead of unstable? Uh, and just for curiousity, I see nothing explicitly related to auth or sasl in the changelogs. Do you have any idea?
