When logging in to a device over SSH and trying to render something on the framebuffer, fbterm cannot be used because it shows the error message “stdin isn't a interactive tty!” (which should also be “isn’t an interactive…”) because the tty is /dev/pts/* and not /dev/tty* or /dev/vc*.
