I rebuilt the package from source to see if that would help, using '--enable-debug' gives me this output:
(I rolled, entered trade, swapped 4-for-1, at which point the 'Accept Quote' and 'Finish Trading' buttons are greyed out and I cannot trade any more). 16:12:06 [DICE]skx rolled 5. I can return to the map and play, but the client will crash when the trade button is pressed again: ** ERROR **: file quoteinfo.c: line 33 (quotelist_new): assertion failed: (*list == NULL) aborting... Seems like something is disabling the 'Finish Trade' button, which causes the quote list to be not deleted - which triggers the assertion as it's not NULL when the client wants to re-create it.
