I am not sure whether debian should divert from upstream's behavior in this regard. if you still care about this after 15 years, please open an upstream bug report and mark this issue as forwarded. Otherwise, if this bug is not marked as forwarded by the end of 2022, I'm going to close this. Greetings Marc
