Package: printer-driver-hpcups Version: 3.22.4+dfsg0-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, LaserJet 1100 has a paper guide that guides the paper to the center of the printing engine horizontally. The hpcups.drv PPD compiler input file does not seem to respect this speciality of the LaserJet 1100 which results in left-aligned image (wrt. the printable area of the engine) and thus part (or whole) of the image is printed off-paper (since the small paper is center-aligned wrt. the engine). In case of the LaserJet 1100 series the printed page image should be center-aligned wrt. the printable area of the printing engine. A bug report has been filed to the upstream team: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hplip/+bug/1981151. A patch has also been submitted (against hplip-3.22.6). I am building a fixed printer-driver-hpcups package for Debian. Please guide me to the right procedure to share the fix with the community. -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.18.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU thread; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages printer-driver-hpcups depends on: ii cups 2.4.2-1 ii cups-filters [ghostscript-cups] 1.28.15-1 ii libc6 2.33-8 ii libcups2 2.4.2-1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.14.0-2 ii libgcc-s1 12.1.0-7 ii libhpmud0 3.22.4+dfsg0-1 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:2.1.2-1 ii libstdc++6 12.1.0-7 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-4 printer-driver-hpcups recommends no packages.
