The current unstable version of xdvik-ja (22.84.8-j1.22-2) does not display rotated text correctly - a small grey "smudge" appears at the location of each character. The previous version 22.84.8-j1.22-1 works fine, and I cannot see anything in the debian changelog to suggest what the problem is.
