Control: tag -1 unreproducible
I've tagged this as unreproducible because I don't think there's a recipe here that permits me to understand what the actual bug in gitolite is. Eventually I might find time to investigate it more myself, but if you want to speed things up, you could provice a sequence of steps that doesn't involve any private configuration. BTW, upgrading directly from oldoldstable to stable without going through oldstable is not supported in general. I don't know if this is related to your issue, but you can try going to oldstable (3.6.11-2) first. It may also help to provide the correct version of all of the information you say is wrong in the original report.
