After performing this yesterday, my daily and weekly activities kicked
in (as expected) and today, after a reboot, the daily activities have
been performed and
root@twentytwo:~# ls -ltr /var/spool/anacron/
insgesamt 12
-rw------- 1 root root 9 16. Okt 19:44 cron.weekly
-rw------- 1 root root 9 16. Okt 19:44 cron.monthly
-rw------- 1 root root 9 17. Okt 17:18 cron.daily

So all looks fine again.

Thanks for taking care!

(And now the hard part for getting all unstable/testing users fixed).

Greetings

           Helge
