[ Reason ] memtest86+ 5.01-3.1 in stable is very old and doestn't run correctly on recent hardware. [ Impact ] Fail to run memtest86+ on their hardware. [ Tests ] manually tested. [ Risks ] Completely rewritten from scratch. So could have bugs not yet known. [ Checklist ] [X] *all* changes are documented in the d/changelog [X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [X] attach debdiff against the package in (old)stable [X] the issue is verified as fixed in unstable [ Changes ] Comeplete new upstream version. Rewritten GRUB integration scripts. New ISO/USB bootable Images. [ Other info ] I requested a backport [1] but Thomas Goirand (zigo) recommend me to ask you for a complete update in stable [2]. If this will be rejected, I recommend to remove memtest86+ from stable and hopefully somebody uploads the new version to backports. As a DM I can't do this myself.
