Dear nagios-plugins-contrib maintainer, nagios-plugins-contrib's check_ssl_cert contains stray backslashes that trigger warnings from grep 3.8, causing autopkgtest to fail: https://ci.debian.net/data/autopkgtest/unstable/amd64/n/nagios-plugins-contrib/26117196/log.gz For convenience, the warning has been temporarily disabled with 3.8-3 by default. It can be enabled by setting DEB_GREP_ENABLE_STRAY_BACKSLASH_WARN. This workaround will be reverted in a next release. Also, Severity: important since grep upstream will make these kind of warnings become errors in the future. https://salsa.debian.org/nagios-team/pkg-nagios-plugins-contrib/-/merge_requests/7 should fix this.
