Package: erlang-base Version: 1:23.2.6+dfsg-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading Debian from 10 to 11 on armel hardware (Qnap TS-410 and TS-421) I found that erlang runtime no longer works. First I tried to found the last working debian version from snapshots - it turned out to be 1:23.0.3+dfsg-1. Erlang runtime started crashing from 1:23.0.4+dfsg-1 version and looks like all binary builds after this one is broken on armel. Debian switched from gcc-9 to gcc-10 for 1:23.0.4+dfsg-1 build. Attempts to build from source with gcc-10 or gcc-12 failed for all versions that I tried - 23.0.3, 23.0.4, 25.1.2, but all builds were successful with gcc-9. Also the builds were successful with newer versions of GCC and -O1 level of optimization. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: armel (armv5tel) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-19-marvell Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages erlang-base depends on: ii adduser 3.118 ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u5 ii libsystemd0 247.3-7+deb11u1 ii libtinfo6 6.2+20201114-2 ii procps 2:3.3.17-5 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-2+deb11u2 Versions of packages erlang-base recommends: pn erlang-crypto <none> pn erlang-syntax-tools <none> pn libsctp1 <none> Versions of packages erlang-base suggests: pn erlang <none> pn erlang-doc <none> pn erlang-manpages <none> pn erlang-tools <none> -- debconf-show failed
