Personally, I am fine with removing these features since I have never seen a site organize home directories in the way that GROUPHOMES or LETTERHOMES suggests. Every site I have encountered places home directories immediately under "/home", which is the default. I have no clue how many users out there have come to rely on these features, however. Hmmm...
