I upgraded from 2.04-20 to 2.06-7, and after rebooting I discovered that I could no longer boot my Windows partition. Downgrading back to 2.04-20 solved this, so only the grub packages are causing this. The whole os-prober section is omitted with 2.06-7. This is what should be there (diff between working and new version):
