Package: getmail6 Version: 6.18.11-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
after today's upgrade getmails exits with an error: /usr/bin/getmails: 32: Bad substitution This seems related to https://github.com/getmail6/getmail6/issues/148 and happens only when /bin/sh is linked to /usr/bin/dash (which is Debian standard since Squeeze) and it looks like the patch was only tested with Bash. Replacing shebang with '#!/bin/bash' is a simple workaround. Thank you for maintaining this package! -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.0.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages getmail6 depends on: ii python3 3.11.1-1 getmail6 recommends no packages. getmail6 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
