Package: anacron Version: 2.3-35+b1 Severity: important I noticed yesterday that something was wrong on my system:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1028142 and this was because anacron was disabled due to bug 1019554. Nothing was announced to warn the user about this issue (except in the Misc Developer News). Something should be done, such as a warning in the NEWS.Debian file (or perhaps in some script during an upgrade). -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') merged-usr: no Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.0.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages anacron depends on: ii libc6 2.36-7 ii sysvinit-utils [lsb-base] 3.06-2 Versions of packages anacron recommends: ii cron [cron-daemon] 3.0pl1-154 Versions of packages anacron suggests: ii postfix [mail-transport-agent] 3.7.3-2+b1 ii powermgmt-base 1.37 ii rsyslog [system-log-daemon] 8.2212.0-1 -- no debconf information -- Vincent Lefèvre <vinc...@vinc17.net> - Web: <https://www.vinc17.net/> 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: <https://www.vinc17.net/blog/> Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / AriC project (LIP, ENS-Lyon)
