Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? I am using gftp on ANTIX Linux on several machines - a convenient way to pull data from an ANDROID PHONE, is to run the X-Plore File Manager on the phone as X-Plore includes its own FTP server which is simple to enable. I've used this for ages and it is sound. The root folder on an A40 is called Internal Shared Storage and that folder is READONLY and reads fine through X-Plore's FTP service. The gftp I did this with on ANTIX 99 was version 2.0.19-4 and works PERFECTLY; On a new install of ANTIX 22, gftp is at 2.7.0b-1; trying the same exercise with that version, the FTP connection itself connects fine: the Android folder lists OK; BUT as soon as I double-click Internal Shared Storage to open it and see folders below the gftp REFUSES and breaks the connection. Testing on another laptop (Antix 19 with gftp 2.0.19-4) to same phone - works fine. FORCE-Installed gftp 2.0.19-4 on the ANTIX 22 machine, FTP then WORKS FINE. I understand 2.7.0b-1 is where gtk was brought in ? so may be something to do with those works. I see 2.9 is now latest / have not tried that yet. Tool is otherwise wonderful --[ THANK YOU to all the fine FOSS developers everywhere]. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-326-antix.1-amd64-smp (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages gftp depends on: ii gftp-gtk 2.0.19-4 pn gftp-text <none> gftp recommends no packages. gftp suggests no packages.
