Package: lvm2 Version: 2.03.16-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
when using the use_devicesfile directive in LVM, the documented way to add devices to said file is to run `lvmdevices --adddev`. However, on Debian lvmdevices does not exist. As most (all?) LVM commands, it is a symlink to lvm itself, but this symlink is missing from Debian. thanks, -Christian -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.0.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/40 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages lvm2 depends on: ii dmeventd 2:1.02.185-2 ii dmsetup 2:1.02.185-2 ii libaio1 0.3.113-3 ii libblkid1 2.38.1-4 ii libc6 2.36-8 ii libdevmapper-event1.02.1 2:1.02.185-2 ii libedit2 3.1-20221030-2 ii libselinux1 3.4-1+b4 ii libsystemd0 252.4-1 ii libudev1 252.4-1 ii lsb-base 11.5 ii sysvinit-utils [lsb-base] 3.06-2 Versions of packages lvm2 recommends: pn thin-provisioning-tools <none> lvm2 suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/lvm/lvm.conf changed [not included] -- no debconf information
