This was already reported here:

and it was already fixed in version 3.8-2:
* Define SIGSEGV_FAULT_STACKPOINTER for loongarch. Closes: #1025140.
Temporarily enable autoreconf for the above to work.
Please clarify if there was anything wrong in the above bug and whether
or not the problem is actually solved.
Also, please clarify if diffutils 3.9 (from upstream) which was
recently released still needs to be changed. When I try to apply the patch
in version 3.8-2 to the 3.9 version, the patch still may be applied (it's not
rejected),
does this mean the authors didn't use a gnulib which was recent enough when
making the 3.9 release?
