The bcolz maintainers declared that the package is unmaintained. https://github.com/Blosc/bcolz bcolz's single non-meta pacakge dependency was dask, and the dask developers declared bcolz deprecated. https://github.com/dask/dask/issues/8330 And now bcolz has started failing to build from source because of changes in numpy. https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=bcolz&suite=sid We should probably just remove it.
