Galera 4 [1] does include a systemd script. Having one in this older version is mostly a nice-to-have level of thing. I am happy to review any Merge Requests on the topic. I have used up my time budget for Debian packaging work for this spring so I will just tag this issue as newcomer friendly in case somebody wants to contribute the systemd service file for Galera 3 in Debian.
