This is how to reproduce the crash from a terminal emulator (I tried xterm, gnome-terminal, and foot): root@host:/tmp# rm mwe.ps root@host:/tmp# echo "test" > mwe.ps root@host:/tmp# chmod g-rwx,o-rwx mwe.ps root@host:/tmp# exit logout user@host:/tmp$ evince mwe.ps Segmentation fault An expected outcome would be a meaningful error message instead of a segfault.
