Sorry for what I now worry may have been distractions in my previous comments. There is at least one failed build where the cause seem unrelated to qemu-img: https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=libguestfs&arch=s390x&ver=1%3A1.48.6-1%2Bb3&stamp=1675540466&raw=1 That build (libguestfs 1:1.48.6-1+b3, kernel 5.10.0-21-s390x) passes qemu-img steps, but later fails to find the 'getenforce' binary (from selinux-utils): > SELinux: sh: 1: getenforce: not found Could that mean there's a missing build-dep on selinux-utils? (and perhaps the kernel version upgrade has introduced/exposed that?)
