I noticed that you have on master branch imported the new upstream version fixing it as well. If that can make it to bookworm then it would be equally well. But maybe a more targeted fix is better at this stage of the freeze: https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/python-cryptography/-/merge_requests/13 (note it cannot be merged cleanly though).
