OK, so the input device is definitely not seen in d-i. Let me guess, `lsmod|grep lpss` returns stuff in your installed system? I think that's something I've already seen during a BSP, but we got side-tracked by falling into various other rabbit holes, something like LPSS behind missing in d-i, which means some devices aren't seen.
