Yes, I agree with that, I definitely remember doing so to understand why a new upload with minimal changes fails to build or produce broken binaries. In such cases <<PKGBUILDDIR>> is slightly different as the version is not the same, even with a fixed build directory. Also it should be noticed that the log filtering feature also filters <<CHROOT>> and <<RESOLVERDIR>>, although I don't think it provides any help here.
