Well, DRI is enabled in your config, but there is a bug somewhere with the transition to X11R7.0. See other cases : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=359328 Basically, Mesa can't use the DRI for whatever reason, and falls back to the software rendering, where something else is broken.
