Dear Debian bist package maintainer, I noticed package bist ( https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/bist ) maintained by you recently in Debian. It seems that this package saw no maintainer upload for 11 years, and currently FTBFS due to incompatibility with GCC 11+. Package bist already missed last Debian Stable release due to FTBFS. Looking at its upstream condition, its upstream vcs hosting (gna.org) has shut down. A web page that looks like project home page https://www.autistici.org/interzona/bist.html says that the software has ceased its development. Given all the conditions above, I am wondering whether we should continue to keep package bist in Debian archive. Please let me know whether you would like to continue with the package maintenance of bist. If there is no possible improvement, I plan to request package removal to Debian FTP Masters in the Debian 13 development cycle, possibly after 2023-07.
