Sorry for the typo, the line should have been ./configure - --host=i586-mingw32msvc --target=i586-mingw32msvc To be sure I've tried again with both the correct as well as the incorrect command, result is the same in both cases. The compiled executable is 'hello' which is a valid windows executable. Just the extension is missing. $ file hello hello: MS-DOS executable PE for MS Windows (console) Intel 80386 32-bit Tim -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEbeuq8N9+lcqiUkURAgmYAJ4xzfOLRYr3+8vWZaPRBWSIWi+gSQCgiuez zJxkiEDRuW3wNmTAGvxXFqo= =mygV -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
