As far as I can tell, this ROM bug went backwards.

Package: fonts-liberation
Version: 1:1.07.4-11

Package: fonts-liberation2
Version: 2.1.5-1

The description of the ROM bug makes it pretty clear that v1 is no
longer maintained, while v2 is. In other words, fonts-liberation
should ahve been removed from the archive, while fonts-liberation2 be
kept.
