Package: haproxy Version: 2.6.12-1 Severity: minor haproxy seems to have a different behaviour with the -q option on reload. In 2.2, errors are displayed. In 2.6, it is really quiet ! no detail are available.
This is annoying because when we reload haproxy via systemctl, we can't see what is the error. We have to run "/usr/sbin/haproxy -f /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg -c" to see what is wrong. In bullseye, the error was available via journalctl. In the systemd unit we have this: ExecReload=/usr/sbin/haproxy -f $CONFIG -c -q $EXTRAOPTS Suggestion: remove -q from unit ? -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to fr_FR.UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages haproxy depends on: ii adduser 3.134 ii dpkg 1.21.22 ii init-system-helpers 1.65.2 ii libc6 2.36-9 ii libcrypt1 1:4.4.33-2 ii liblua5.3-0 5.3.6-2 ii libopentracing-c-wrapper0 1.1.3-3+b1 ii libpcre2-8-0 10.42-1 ii libssl3 3.0.9-1 ii libsystemd0 252.6-1 ii lsb-base 11.6 ii sysvinit-utils [lsb-base] 3.06-4 haproxy recommends no packages.
