Package: initramfs-tools Version: 0.142 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: j24...@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer, I want to utilize systemd-cryptsetup to unlock an encrypted root filesystem using e.g. a TPM2.0, or one of the other options offered by systemd-cryptsetup. This is supported by dracut, since it uses systemd in the initramfs. Supporting this would require (optionally) including systemd-cryptsetup in the initramfs and running it to potentially unlock some devices automatically. However, I am not sure if systemd-cryptsetup requires systemd to be running, so this may or may not depend on #717429 which is unlikely to be implemented. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.0 Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: SELinux: enabled - Mode: Enforcing - Policy name: bauen1-policy Versions of packages initramfs-tools depends on: ii initramfs-tools-core 0.142 ii linux-base 4.9 initramfs-tools recommends no packages.
