Hi, This package fails to build a source package after a successful build (dpkg-buildpackage ; dpkg-buildpackage -S). This is probably a clear violation of Debian Policy section 4.9 (clean target), but this is filed as severity:minor for now, because a discussion on debian-devel showed that we might want to revisit the requirement of a working 'clean' target. More information about this class of issues, included common problems and solutions, is available at https://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS/SourceAfterBuild Relevant part of the build log: > cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage --sanitize-env > -us -uc -rfakeroot -S > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source package feff85exafs > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source version 0.2+dfsg-2 > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source distribution unstable > dpkg-buildpackage: info: source changed by Andrius Merkys <[email protected]> > dpkg-source --before-build . > debian/rules clean > dh clean --with python3 > dh_auto_clean > make -j8 clean > make[1]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' > make -C src/ATOM clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/ATOM' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/ATOM' > make -C src/COMMON clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/COMMON' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/COMMON' > make -C src/DEBYE clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/DEBYE' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/DEBYE' > make -C src/EXCH clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/EXCH' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/EXCH' > make -C src/FF2X clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FF2X' > rm -f *.o feff8l_ff2x > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FF2X' > make -C src/FMS clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FMS' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FMS' > make -C src/FOVRG clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FOVRG' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/FOVRG' > make -C src/GENFMT clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/GENFMT' > rm -f *.so *.o *.a feff8l_genfmt > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/GENFMT' > make -C src/JSON clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/JSON' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/JSON' > make -C src/MATH clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/MATH' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/MATH' > make -C src/PAR clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/PAR' > rm -f *.a *.o > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/PAR' > make -C src/PATH clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/PATH' > rm -f *.o feff8l_pathfinder > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/PATH' > make -C src/POT clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/POT' > rm -f *.so *.o *.a *.so feff8l_pot > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/POT' > make -C src/RDINP clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/RDINP' > rm -f *.o feff8l_rdinp > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/RDINP' > make -C src/XSPH clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/XSPH' > rm -f *.o feff8l_xsph > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/XSPH' > make -C src/json-fortran clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/json-fortran' > rm -f *.a *.o *.mod > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/json-fortran' > make -C src/feff6l clean > make[2]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/feff6l' > rm -f *.o feff6l > make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src/feff6l' > make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' > dh_clean > dpkg-source -b . > dpkg-source: info: using source format '3.0 (quilt)' > dpkg-source: info: building feff85exafs using existing > ./feff85exafs_0.2+dfsg.orig.tar.xz > dpkg-source: info: using patch list from debian/patches/series > dpkg-source: info: local changes detected, the modified files are: > feff85exafs-0.2+dfsg/feff8l.1 > dpkg-source: error: aborting due to unexpected upstream changes, see > /tmp/feff85exafs_0.2+dfsg-2.diff.zlDGOn > dpkg-source: info: Hint: make sure the version in debian/changelog matches > the unpacked source tree > dpkg-source: info: you can integrate the local changes with dpkg-source > --commit > dpkg-buildpackage: error: dpkg-source -b . subprocess returned exit status 2 > > E: Command 'cd /<<PKGBUILDDIR>> && runuser -u user42 -- dpkg-buildpackage > --sanitize-env -us -uc -rfakeroot -S' failed to run. The full build log is available from: http://qa-logs.debian.net/2023/08/13/feff85exafs_0.2+dfsg-2_unstable.log If you reassign this bug to another package, please mark it as 'affects'-ing this package. See https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control#affects If you fail to reproduce this, please provide a build log and diff it with mine so that we can identify if something relevant changed in the meantime.
